The Jhargram-2 is a selection from the West Bengal Regional Research Station’s H-2/15 seedling plantation. This variety has a midseason flowering behaviour with 3-4 fruits per panicle. This variety has an average nut weight of 9.2g, a kernel weight of 2.85g, and a shelling percentage of 32%.


The Vengurla-1 is a selection from the Ansur village, Vengurla Tehsil, Maharashtra-collected germplasm.
