KM 2

PAIYUR1
The Paiyur1 cultivar of green gramme was introduced in 1988 and is a pure line selection from DPT 703. This green grame cultivar matures between 85 and 90 days. This cultivar yields about 700 kilogrammes per hectare of grain. Due to its low incidence of yellow mosaic virus, this cultivar is excellent for rainfed locations in the districts of Dharmapuri, Madurai, Ramnad, Tirunelveli, and Periyar.
VAMBAN 1
The Vamban 1 green gramme cultivar is the hybrid offspring of and (S.8 x PIMS 3). This variety was initially introduced in 1989. This variety will mature in roughly 65 to 70 days. The grain production per hectare of Vamban 1 is approximately 800 kg. Supposedly, it is immune to YMV.
VBN (GG) 2
The green grame variety Vamban 1 is a hybrid child of (S.8 x PIMS 3). In 1989, this variety was introduced. This cultivar reaches maturity in about 65 to 70 days. Vamban 1 yields approximately 800 kg per hectare of grain. Reportedly, YMV tolerance exists.
