TLG 45
The TLG 45 variety was issued in 2007 at the MAU Latur releasing centre. This variety has a yield potential of approximately 1,506 kg/ha. This seed’s oil content is around 51%. Maharashtra is the suggested state for this species. It is a cultivar with big seeds.
NARAYANI (TCGS 29)
The Narayani variety was released in 2007 at the ANGRAU release centre in Tirupati. This variety has a yield potential of approximately 3,764 kg/ha. This variety’s oil content is roughly 48%. It is tolerant to situations of midseason moisture stress.
VASUNDHARA (DH 101)
In 2007, the Vasundhara variety of Groundnuts was introduced. This variety has a potential yield of roughly 2,877 kg per hectare. The variety has approximately fifty percent oil. It is suggested for cultivation in West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, and Assam. This plant is resistant to both stem rot and PBND.
VL- MOONGPHALI-1
The VL- Moongphali-1 variety of groundnuts was introduced in 2008 at the VPKAS, Almora release centre. This cultivar has a yield potential of approximately 1,933 kg per hectare. This type is resistant to late leaf spot and root rot and has been suggested for cultivation in Uttarakhand.
UTKARSH (CSMG 9510)
This variety, released in 2009 at CSAUAT, Mainpuri, contains approximately 49% oil. This type is suggested for cultivation in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and northern Rajasthan. It is resistant to rust and has a dormancy period of 40-45 days for new seeds. The recommendation is for the Kharif season.
JAWAHAR GROUNDNUT 23 (JGN 23)
The Jawahar Groundnut 23 was released in the year 2009 in JNKVV, Khargone. This variety has a yield potential of approximately 1631 kg/ha. This variety’s oil content is roughly 49%. This cultivar is ELS and LLS tolerant. In addition to being drought-resistant, it has been recommended for the Kharif season.
GREESHMA
This cultivar of Greeshma, which was introduced in 2009 at ANGRAU, Tirupati, has a yield potential of approximately 2,000 to 2,500 kg per hectare. This variety’s oil content is roughly 49%. This cultivar has been suggested for cultivation in Andhra Pradesh. It can withstand LLS, drought, hot temperatures, and aflatoxin.
KADIRI 8
The Kadiri 8 Groundnut cultivar was introduced in 2009 at ANGRAU, Kadiri. The potential yield is around 1,523 kg/ha. This seed’s oil content is around 47%. This type is recommended for cultivation in Andhra Pradesh because it is resistant to sucking insects and leaf spots.
MALLIKA
The Mallika variety of groundnuts, which was introduced in 2009 at RAU, Hanumangarh, has a yield potential of 2,579 kg per hectare. This variety’s oil content is approximately 48%. This type is resistant to both collar rot and PBND, and its seeds are large. The recommendation is for the Kharif season.
